Abstract :
In the present age of information technology, tele-communication research involves many aspects influencing each other.  Based on the multidisciplinary background of our group members, we adopted an integrated approach to the various levels of telecommunication research.  The control and management of telecom networks involve the dynamic optimization of large  complex  systems,  and  the processing of large amount of stochastic data.  Our objective is to apply neurocomputing and hybrid intelligent techniques to deal with such problems as dynamic routing of teletraffic, volatile traffic modelling, overload control of call processors, diagnostic classification of error messages, traffic and market prediction.  Through industrial contact, real-life data are collected and realistic models are formulated.
